Ariake Coliseum was designed to be the Wimbledon of Tokyo. The main arena is an impressive sight with a retractable roof, which can move into or out of place in minutes. But it is not only major tennis events that are held here; championship boxing and wrestling events as well as major concerts are also often scheduled. The complex's tennis courts can be rented for JPY1,500 an hour.
