For over 30 years, the clientele of the Peking has been international businessmen who favor Chinese court food with Japanese and French touches. White linen cloths, Chinese prints, calligraphy and vases together with a smattering of plants contribute to the restaurant's atmosphere. Private rooms are available. The Tabenohai Buffet has two choices--35 items at JPY4,000 and 50 dishes at JPY5,000. There are ten lunch sets for under JPY3,000. Classical dishes such as jellyfish, 1,000-year old eggs, birds nest soup and sharks fin soup are on the menu. Beer is JPY800 and wine is available from JPY4,500.
