Stocked up with denims, khakis, knits, T-shirts, sweatshirts and so forth, Gap is the king of American casual and has quite a following in Japan. It might seem a little "unextraordinary" after a trip to Harajuku or Omotesando, but the goods are quality made, reasonably priced and, above all, available in a more foreigner-friendly range of sizes. Especially good if you are after larger sized casual men's wear, which to find in Japan can be quite a mission.
