Formerly known as the Hotel Atamiso, the Hotel Alcyone is listed among the "historic and memorable" hotels of Tokyo by the Japan National Tourist Organization. The decor is strictly 1970s and a bit gaudy. Rooms, however, are clean and comfortable and available with either Western-type beds and bath, or Japanese-style tatami mats with futon bedding. The Kabuki-za theater is just around the corner and the Tsukiji Fish Market is only five minutes away on foot.
