Several authentic rural farmhouses have been painstakingly dismantled from various locations and reassembled in this beautiful park setting. Smoke from traditional braziers beckon the visitor to grasp Japan's countryside living as it used to be. There are more than 20 separate buildings--some dating to the Edo period--tastefully set on winding paths and green hills. Of particular interest is a Kabuki theater from an Izu fishing village. Household utensils and farm equipment can also be seen. Admission: JPY300
