This casual restaurant is not exactly Russian per se, but it does serve up a great borsch risotto, another one of those amazing Japanese creations. Thick with cabbage, tomatoes and carrots, it is wonderful on a cold winter day. This is the kind of place where the decor is unassuming, but the taste of its simple offerings is unforgettable. Its basement location gives it a cozy feel, and the lemon tart is delicious.
