Most people expect okonamiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) restaurants to be on the ramshackle side. Places to forget table manners and hunker over the grill with an ice-cold beer. This restaurant, however, is a more stylish venue in which to enjoy this Japanese favorite. The lighting is low and unlike many restaurants of this kind that are a male preserve, at Nami, women can enjoy a relaxed and less macho atmosphere. The basement level seats 36 people, the upstairs 25. Dishes start at around JPY500 for monjayaki.
