Many of the concerts featured on NHK, Japan's national television and radio network, are recorded here. Therefore, the repertoire is very wide and includes orchestral and solo classical music, opera, rock, jazz and even vaudeville. Naturally, the acoustics are good and the seating is comfortable. It seats 4,010 and is usually full so booking well in advance is advisable. Sandwiches and Japanese-style lunch boxes, which can be a mixture of anything, are available and there are vending machines for soft drinks. Alcohol is not served. Ticket prices vary with the performance.
