This nomiya (drinking spot) has a very distinct aura even for Shimokitazawa. With its wooden interior and long counter, it lies somewhere between a nouvelle cuisine restaurant and a typical ojisan (middle-aged man) hangout. The food is original and bold in its taste combinations. Examples include cheese tofu, otafuku omelets, and their most talked about dish--beef tongue served with boiled daikon (Japanese radish). They also have a variety of beverages, everything from sake to beer. Their pride and joy, however, is their sangria.
