Named after the Kingdom of Ryukyu, the old name for Okinawa, this small home-style restaurant will give you a nice feel for that laid-back southern-island ambience. They serve all of the Okinawan favorites such as Okinawan soba, pig's feet, and of course goya-champuru, a dish made with tofu and nigauri (a bitter veggie found on the island). The mama-san is friendly and this place seems to have a lot of regulars whom she attends to with care. The prices are a little higher than the average izakaya (tavern), but the portions are large and the food is terrific.
