For excellent Japanese food in a traditional setting, this place is great. Located in the Hotel New Otani, there are seven rooms all in authentic Japanese style, replete with scrolls, shoji, tokonoma and miniature gardens. Seating is on tatami matting, made comfortable with chairs with backs. Dishes are appropriate to the season. For business entertaining, special menus may be ordered with recommendations by the Chef. A lunch course is offered at JPY10,000 and dinner courses from JPY25,000 to JPY30,000. Sake, wine and beer begin at JPY1,200. There is a selection of bottles of wine in the JPY9,500-JPY11,000 range.
