Devoted to putting on the films that other theaters shy away from, the Shibuya Cinema Society continues to be a pioneer in the true spirit of cinema. It is rather small, with only 104 seats, but it shows films from all countries in the original language with subtitles. Starting times differ but the very first show starts around 10am and the late show around 9pm. Sometimes, there is an all night showing that starts at 11pm. Refreshments come via vending machines and there is no alcohol available. Ticket prices: usually JPY1,800.
