Its twin is the well-known Diaoyutai Restaurant in Beijing which has pleased Chinese government dignitaries for many years. The elegant interior features rose-patterned flooring, Chinese cabinets and graceful high-backed chairs. Private rooms are available for intimate entertaining. The restaurant seats 80. A JPY3,000 lunch course might include a choice of roast pork and pickled Chinese cabbage with chili pepper, followed by rice, soup and dessert. The Lotus Course at JPY8,000 is more sumptuous. Additionally, there is an extensive a la carte menu. Bottles of wine begin at JPY4,500, a glass of wine from JPY1,000, and draft beer at JPY950.
