Nearly 5,000 pieces from the 20th century are housed in this striking museum building designed by Kenzo Tange. Photographers, surrealists and artists with ties to Yokohama are well represented here. Included are works of Cezanne, Mapplethorpe, Picasso, Leger and Bacon. Facilities include a museum shop, art library, lecture hall and a French restaurant. Admission: JPY500 (more for special exhibits)
